Tim & Jelly learn all about the upcoming interactive, outdoor art festival, Figment DC from their outreach coordinator, Rebecca Proch.  Figment DC is coming back to DC Sept. 28 & 29 to The North Field of Anacostia Park, Washington, DC. Figment welcomes artists and performers of all kinds to bring their projects to the people. Entry is FREE.  the only stipulation is that everything submitted must be interactive. This is a festival all about playing, creating and involving people with a variety of art experiences. Pretty cool. Find Figment DC on Facebook and Twitter. Submit your project HERE! Figment is always looking for volunteers as it is run by 100% volunteer power. Attending is also free!  You don't have to wait for the festival to get involved. Sign up for the Unleash Your Inner Artist event at Wooly Mammoth Theatre. Also free, but you need to register.

Impressed by the open nature of the Figment DC Festival, Tim & Jelly introduce Rebecca to cheese sculptor, Kip Formaggio.  We met Kip after hearing about him being expelled from several art shows for praying to and then eating,  his prized creation, Baby Cheesus. He also received criticism for his Gouda Buddha, Mormonzola and his Blue Jew sculpture inspired by Woody Allen.  Thanks to Rebecca brainstorming with him, It sounds like Kip will be welcomed at Figment DC.  Look for Kip's Roquefort Forts for Military families at the festival!
