"Winning isn't everything, but the will to win is everything." --Vince Lombardi
Little wins add up to big growth and success. TIm and Jelly discuss ways we can put ourselves in winning situations. Tim inspired this week's discussion with his recent completion of his first marathon, The Marine Corpse Marathon. Tim and Jelly confess to the things they aren't doing because they are scared, and what they are doing while scared. Will Tim move to LA? Why is everything worthwhile so scary?
We hope to meet you at DC PodFest Nov.6-8!

"Vision without execution is just hallucination." -- Henry Ford
We are a lot like goldfish. Without a good, strong filter in place we run the risk of poisoning our goals, values, and business success with distractions, negative influences, and pollution. And when that happens, we sink to the bottom of the bowl. Blub blub blub.
Tim, Jelly, and Caitlin talk about being cognisant of our filters so we can carefully monitor the influences that we allow into our life, as well as those we put out into the world. It's a big topic with huge consequences. Filter up!
Have you checked your filters lately?

"Criticism is something we can avoid easily by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing."--Aristotle
As makers, doers, performers, and creative business people, we tend to put ourselves out there in ways that encourage positive and negative feedback. It can get overwhelming! Tim and Jelly explore the ways we can respond to this outside feedback, and what we can learn about ourselves from other people.
Side Topic: Jelly feels disrespected and Thor tells her to be polite. Is this good advice?
We hope to see you at DC PodFest Nov. 6-8 in Washington, DC. Tickets now on sale! A weekend for independent podcasters and future podcasters--even podcast fanatics!

Are we trying hard enough?
This week Tim and Jelly sit down to talk about how we constantly feel on the cusp of both success and failure as creative entrepreneurs and doers. Jelly is working hard on DC PodFest, but full of self doubt and worry. Tim is stressed thinking about the vulnerable nature of his finances while he is investing in himself to reach his goal of being a full-time professional comedian, host and performer.
Also, Caitlin got married, and we are so happy for her. She will be back on the JVS in a couple of weeks and we can't wait!
